Reinventing Holidays

“Out of office” and “Do not Disturb” messages have never really been a choice for business leaders, who no matter what and where, they always ensured that they are discovered, if needed.

However, holidays are the period to detach from the business and find ways for the three-Rs rule: relax, recharge, and rejuvenate.

Currently though, since most of the businesses have undergone a serious digital transformation – in the US 25% of employees are currently teleworkers and will remain as such- will draw a new line between work and personal life.

How could you possibly stay unplugged during holidays, when the only thing that is experienced during the last months is to be connected even 24/7? Business leaders will want to have their fingers on the pulse of the organization and be constantly in the know, but they also need to learn how to find this new balance between work and personal life through prioritization, team working, and the cultivation of a culture of empowerment and trust that supports and respects time off.

As a rule of thumb: the less you are needed, the more successful the leadership model that you follow! Enjoy the well-deserved time off!
